Bays Swim 2012
Eagle Technology attended the Auckand Masters' Eagle Technology Bays Swim 2012 on February 12 at Tamaki Yacht Club. This was the 26th time that Eagle has sponsored the event.
We congratulate Ryan Phillip, (41.22) and Natalie Woodgate (50.33), winners of the Eagle Technology Bays Swim Cup 2012 in the Male and Female divisions. Winners of the cup do not use wetsuits.
We also congratulate Jonathan Whittle and Avy Juddleston, who won in the wetsuit division.
The calm conditions at the start of the race turned windy and choppy, so that some of the frontrunners were unable to see the last buoy marker and missed it. The canoe club were able to guide subsequent swimmers to the last buoy.
Eagle Technology's GIS Account Manager was 4th over the line, but was one of those that missed the buoy. Still it was a great effort. Given the cold and unseasonal conditions it was great to see so many swimmers and their families stay for refreshments and prize-giving.
The Eagle Technology Rangitoto Swim will be held on February 26, 2012.
