Eagle Technology Rangitoto Swim 2011

Sunday April 10, 2011 was a perfect day for the 2011 Eagle Technology Rangitoto Swim, with light breezes and a smooth sea. Entries were up on the day, and 435 participants completed the distance from Rangitoto to St Heliers beach, where they were met by an enthusiatic team of supporters.

Eagle Technology congratulates Phillip Ryan M  (20)  and Natalie Woodgate F (15), who were the winners of the Eagle Technology Cup, in the non-wetsuit class.

Congratualtions also to Brent Foster M (43) and Teresa Adam (21) who won the wetsuit division.

Eagle Technology this year celebrated 25 years of sponsorship of this, and the Eagle Technology Bays Swim. Unfortunately the Bays Swim had been cancelled earlier due to the weather conditions. Corallie Eagle (Chair, Eagle Technology) and Gary Langford (CEO, Eagle Technology) were on hand to present the trophies to the winners at the awards ceremony held on the Green, following the arrival of the last swimmer.

Well done to all participants, and Eagle Technology would like to acknowledge the tremendous voluntary effort from the organisers, including the Auckland Masters, Coastguard and canoe clubs involved.
