Eagle Technology values the privacy of those who visit our Website and register for software and services online. We think it is important for you to understand when and why we collect personally identifiable information and how we may use it. This Privacy Policy describes Eagle Technology data collection and use policies and applies to anyone who uses our Website, buys or uses the products or services that we supply you (Products or Services), or interacts with us.

Please read the entire Privacy Policy before providing any personally identifiable information to us. 

Personal Information means any information that can directly or indirectly identify you or another person. We will only use your Personal Information for the reasons we collected it and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Eagle Technology collects personally identifiable information, such as:

  • Your purchase and account history with us.

  • Information about your use of our Products or Services.

  • Information about the webpages you visit on our Website.

  • Information you provide to us when responding to our customer surveys.

Esri Websites and software installation may require registration to gain access to special services, license keys, or other features. This information will be used to provide support and deliver specialised services.

How We Safeguard Your Personal Information Outside New Zealand

Where appropriate, Eagle Technology may disclose, and you authorise us to disclose, your Personal Information to overseas service providers for the above purposes. We will make sure that these overseas service providers are:

  • a participant in a prescribed binding scheme for international disclosures of personal information; and/or
  • is located in a country that provides comparable safeguards to New Zealand’s privacy laws, approved by the Privacy Commissioner.

If not, then we will take reasonable steps to ensure that the overseas service provider is required to protect your Personal Information in a way that, overall, provides comparable safeguards to those required under New Zealand’s privacy laws.

Examples of these steps include a written agreement between us and the overseas service provider or making reasonable enquiries regarding data protection standards of the country in which the overseas service provider is located.

Eagle Technology assumes no responsibility for the privacy practices of third parties' Websites and suggests you review the privacy statements/policies on such Websites before sharing your personally identifiable data.

We collect Personal Information:

  • From you indirectly (like when you use our Services or Products, visit our Website or interact with us).

Eagle Technology does not use cookies to store information such as credit card numbers or telephone numbers.

Access

Eagle Technology will permit you to access information about you in our database by contacting marketing@eagle.co.nz. If you believe any of the information is incorrect or needs updating, please advise us. We will correct our records upon verification of the requested change.  If there is a legal reason why we can’t let you see it, or if we don’t agree with your correction, then we’ll tell you.

E-Communications

If you no longer wish to receive our Promotional Material via e-mail, the post or social media, please let us know by sending an e-mail to us at marketing@eagle.co.nz and specifying that you do not want to receive these notifications. Please provide us with your exact name and address as well as a description of the publication or mail piece you received. Keep in mind, however, that you may not receive valuable information as a result of your election to be removed from mailing lists.

Security

Eagle Technology will take reasonable and prudent precautions to ensure that your Personal Information is protected against unauthorised access, use, modification, disclosure or loss.

Privacy Complaints

If you believe for any reason that Eagle Technology has not followed these principles or properly protected your privacy, please contact our Privacy Officer at marketing@eagle.co.nz and we will act promptly to investigate, correct as appropriate, and advise you of the correction. Please identify the issue as a Privacy Policy concern in your communication to Eagle Technology. Alternatively, you may make a complaint to the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner.

If you don’t agree with our Privacy Policy or don’t want us to collect your Personal Information, then you shouldn’t use our Website, Products, Services or interact with us. If you change your mind and don’t agree with our Privacy Policy anymore, then you should stop using our Website, Services or interacting with us.

Privacy Policy Changes

Eagle Technology may from time to time change our Privacy Policy. These changes may reflect, among other things, changes in law, our data collection practises, and/or changes to our business, Services or Products. We will post any updated policies on our Website. The updated Privacy Policy will take effect 14 days after the date it is posted.

If you continue to use our Services or Products, or continue to use our Website, or interact with Eagle Technology after the updated Privacy Policy comes into effect, then this will indicate that you have agreed to our changes.

If you don’t agree with the changes to the Privacy Policy, then you should immediately stop using our Services and our Website.

Eagle Technology encourages you to review our Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
