This is New Zealand’s premier GIS event and absolutely critical on our calendar - Matt Flowerday, Director, GPS-IT

What you need to know

The New Zealand Esri User Conference is the largest annual gathering of the New Zealand GIS community. The expansion continues for the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) across organisations for decisions that impact the environment, communities and business success.

Esri's ArcGIS system is enhanced by its network of business partners and related technologies. Esri and Eagle Technology work with organisations that provide unique solutions complementary to the ArcGIS platform whether for a specific industry or to extend the functionality of the ArcGIS platform.

The Covid-19 Pandemic has affected both the International Esri User Conference and the New Zealand Esri User Conference. Where we had planned for a full-scale event, we were instead planning a move to a Virtual event. Now, because New Zealand is able to gather in large groups, we have returned to a face-to-face model. Because travel and accommodation options are limited, however, we will gather in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch on the same day, for a shared experience.

Usually positioned to follow the Esri International User Conference (San Diego, July 2020), where more than 16,000 GIS Professionals congregate each year, this year's event is designed to complement the 2020 Esri UC, which was held in July, a virtual conference with more than 70,000 registrants. NZEUC is a must-attend event for the local GIS community to hear first-hand from Esri and Eagle about the strategic direction and technical advances in GIS for 2021 and beyond.

Here's how it works:

One Agenda
When you register, you will choose where and what sessions you will attend, be it virtual or face-to-face.

All options are FREE if you are an Eagle Technology customer using Esri ArcGIS and current on subscription or maintenance.

Whatever format you choose, you'll have access to our network of Esri Business partners and sponsors.

Esri's UC virtual event was a huge success and attended by more than 88,000 viewers world-wide. NZEUC is positioned this year to complement that event with a focus on local communities and stories: a great opportunity to connect, share and inspire.

Wherever you are this year, NZEUC presents an opportunity to bring the conference to you, enabling you to share all or a part with your whole team, many of whom may not otherwise be able to attend.

We're very excited to be able to bring you the NZEUC 2020 experience, whatever option you choose. We've a lot to pack into one day, a hybrid of real and virtual, and with all of you coming together to create the magic that is always a part of our annual event.
