Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Technical Consultant
Join Eagle Technology as a Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Technical Consultant and help support and grow New Zealand’s GIS community.
You can be based in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch.

About the role:
You will be part of our GIS Technical Support Team, providing expert technical assistance to users of Esri ArcGIS. Your day‑to‑day work will focus on delivering expert technical guidance that drives customer satisfaction—resolving complex GIS and ArcGIS issues, providing targeted training, and helping customers get the most from their ArcGIS tools and data.

You will also stay up to date with evolving GIS technologies and contribute to shaping the user experience for thousands of GIS professionals.
What you will do:
- Provide timely, high‑quality technical support for Esri software users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex GIS problems across data, mapping, analysis, and applications.
- Deliver technical training through workshops, online sessions, and other formats.
- Provide advice on ArcGIS to customers and partners.
- Collaborate with Esri on issues, testing, and requirements to support New Zealand user needs.
You will also stay up to date with evolving GIS technologies and contribute to shaping the user experience for thousands of GIS professionals.
